| The Rural Arts & Culture Program | This program, with funding provided by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs Grand Traverse Area, has been a major source of financial support for the Chorus's "Get Northern Michigan Singing...Again!" project the past four years. Grants exceeding $35,000 over that time have allowed the Chorus to develop cooperative programs with over 40 elementary schools and to enhance community support of vocal arts programs in the 5-county Greater Grand Traverse Area. |

| Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs | This State organization is the body responsible for providing funding for a variety of arts programs and activities, including the Rural Arts and Culture Program which has provided the major portion of financial support for our "Get Northern Michigan Singing ..Again!" project. |
| Harmony Foundation | Harmony Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the International Barbershop Harmony Society (SPEBSQSA). It receives contributions from society members, chapters, and supporters and provides grants to support projects and programs designed to support and enhance vocal music throughout the world. Harmony Foundation played a major part in the development of our "Get Northern Michigan Singing..Again!" project through a special grant. This grant allowed us to make a professional video program and develop support materials describing the program for use in promoting the program and concept throughout society. The video and support materials are now available to any Barbershop Chapter from the International Barbershop Harmony Society wishing to develop a similar program. Cherry Capital Chorus members and friends are encouraged to contribute to Harmony Foundation. |
| Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation | This organization has provided over $10,000 in grants to the Chorus. This grant money has provided song books produced by the Music Educators National Conference for every music teacher and 4th grader in over 40 local schools. The song books are being used for the "Get Northern Michigan Singing..Again!" program. The Cherry Capital Chorus Fund which began in 1999, is one of 16 Cultural Arts Funds in the Regional Foundation. It has nearly reached the size that will allow the Chorus to commit to ongoing additional charitable initiatives. Chorus members and friends are encouraged to consider contributions to the Cherry Capital Chorus Fund. |
| Traverse Area Arts Council | The Chorus is an active member of the Traverse Area Arts Council. A key activity of the Council is the administration of the "Minigrants" or "Regrants" from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs. These grants are made to local qualifying Arts, Library, and Historical groups. Grants to the Cherry Capital Chorus over the past five years have allowed us to produce "Finale!". Finale! is a program which brings nearly 2000 4th graders and their instructors to a massed sing with the Cherry Capital Chorus. During the sing, they can experience the joy of singing the songs they have learned during the year. |
